1. Introduction

Definition

Message Constructor is a Leeloo.AI platform module for creating messages out of 11 element types (text, image, video, audio, file, link, carousel, template, video note, request information, gallery). It is used at the Engage and Manage lifecycle stages — wherever the business talks to a subscriber through automated tunnels, direct chat replies, or broadcast campaigns.

The constructor opens from four platform entry points: inside the «Message» block in Sales Tunnels, in Chats when a manager replies manually, in Smart Sender when composing a broadcast, and in Message Templates. It supports 6 communication channels (Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Viber, WhatsApp, VK) — each with its own tab and its own set of elements.

A B2B operator (marketer, content manager) configures the message once, uses synchronisation between channels, and adds elements via the «+ Message» button. They can export elements between channels, preview rendering, and save templates for reuse.

A B2C client (subscriber) receives in their messenger exactly the elements configured under the tab of their channel. If the Telegram tab is empty — the Telegram subscriber gets nothing. The client never sees the constructor or synchronisation mode — only the final content.

The Client's Card records the fact of delivery of each element and click events on interactive elements (buttons, links). Message Constructor is a content-authoring layer that wraps 11 media types into a single interface with per-channel tabs.

Purpose

Message Constructor is the unified content-authoring layer for multi-channel communication. One editor covers every channel and every scenario — from an automated post-subscription series to a manager's manual chat reply. The specific function of the constructor in business processes depends on the lifecycle stage at which it is used.

Engage — welcome series after subscription, warm-up messages, FAQ replies. The task — deliver content in the format the subscriber expects in their channel.

Manage — manager replies in Chats and broadcast campaigns via Smart Sender. The task — respond to clients quickly with rich media content.

2. Message Constructor overview

Message Constructor opens from a «Message» block in a Sales Tunnel, from any Chat when a manager replies manually, from Smart Sender when preparing a broadcast, and from the Message Templates section. The interface is the same across all four entry points; only the behaviour of the «Save» button differs (instant send in Chats, block save elsewhere).

2.1. Interface overview

To add elements to a message, click the «+ Message» button. Some elements are not supported by certain communication channels, but as a rule they can be replaced with similar supported elements.

1. Block name — used to identify the block in the platform. Subscribers do not see the block name.

2. Export messages — transfers elements from one communication channel to another. If the target channel does not support an element, it is converted into a supported one. Content is copied during export, not replaced — it is recommended to check imported elements.

3. Channel tabs — each tab corresponds to a communication channel. Messages are sent to each messenger only from the corresponding tab. If the Telegram tab is empty, Telegram subscribers will receive nothing.

4. Number of message elements — shows the number of content blocks in the corresponding channel.

5. Export selected element — copies only the selected element to other channels (not the entire channel).

6. Delete element — removes the element from the current channel. Copies in other channels are not affected when synchronisation is off (see item 12).

7. Element type marker — helps identify the types of added elements.

8. «+ Message» button — opens the element addition menu in the constructor.

9. Message element — contains the content the subscriber sees when receiving the message.

10. Button addition menu — available only for «Text» and «Card Box» elements.

11. Add elements — after clicking, the element appears at the bottom of the list for the current channel.

12. Synchronisation mode — messages for all other channels are replaced with messages from the current channel. When you make changes in the current channel, other channels update automatically. Adjusted individually per block.

13. Card Box export mode — when reverse-exporting Card Box elements from channels that do not support it, they are converted into Card Box in supported channels. Recommended to enable before export / sync when Card Box is used.

14. Last modification — displays the manager, date, and time of the last block change.

15. Save message — saves changes. If the button is inactive, there are errors in the elements (empty fields, missing links, unconfigured buttons). In the Chats section, this button sends the message instantly.

16. Create message template — creates a template for quick access from different platform sections.

17. Close constructor — if there are unsaved changes, a confirmation window appears: «Cancel» returns to editing, «Reset» closes without saving.

2.2. Text

Allows you to create text messages and add functional buttons.

Restrictions:

• Telegram — 4096 characters; FB Messenger — 2000 characters; Viber — 4000 characters; VK — 4000 characters; WhatsApp — 1600 characters.

• Maximum 3 buttons (up to 10 buttons for Telegram).

2.3. Image

A block for adding graphic content.

Restrictions:

• Maximum image file size: 1 MB.

• Recommended resolution: 300×600; for Viber and WhatsApp: 600×600.

• *.gif animations are supported by Facebook, Telegram, Viber, and VK. In Telegram, gif animations appear as static images.

• WhatsApp does not support gif animations.

• The mobile version of Viber does not support PNG format.

• For Facebook, the file name must be in English (Latin characters).

2.4. Card Box (carousel)

Card Box (Carousel) — adds multiple images with buttons and accompanying text in one block. Scrolls left-to-right and back in the messenger.

Restrictions:

• Available for Facebook, Viber, and Instagram only.

• Image restrictions correspond to those of the Image element.

• Recommended image size for Viber: 240×140.

• Maximum title length: 80 characters; message length: 80 characters.

• Link must start with «http://» or «https://».

• Maximum number of buttons: 3.

• Maximum number of cards per element: Facebook — 10; Viber — 6; Instagram — 3.

2.5. Video

A block for sending video files. Available methods: direct link to a file, uploaded file from device, or Telegram file ID (removes size limit — Telegram only).

Restrictions:

• Size limit: Facebook, Telegram, Viber, VK — 19 MB; WhatsApp — 5 MB.

• Maximum link length: 500 characters.

• Link must be direct and start with «http://» or «https://». YouTube links do not work.

• VK supports only links to videos uploaded to VK.

• Video format: MP4 only.

2.6. Template

A block for sending pre-created message templates. Contains a dropdown list of templates. After inserting, the template is converted into the elements set for the current channel.

2.7. File

A block for sending files (documents).

Restrictions:

• Instagram does not support sending files and documents.

• Link must be direct and start with «http://» or «https://». Maximum length: 500 characters.

• Maximum size: 20 MB (16 MB for WhatsApp).

• Allowed types: application/pdf, image/gif, video/mp4, audio/mp3, image/jpeg, image/png.

• Unsupported formats: for Facebook — ZIP; for WhatsApp — GIF and PDF.

2.8. Audio

A block for sending audio files (voice messages).

Restrictions:

• File size: 1.91 MB (approximately 3 minutes of voice message).

• Telegram supports *.ogg format.

• Instagram: maximum size — 25 MB; formats: .mp4, .wav, .m4a, audio/x-m4a, audio/mp4, video/mp4, audio/wav.

2.9. Link

A block for adding a URL link to a website, file, etc.

• Maximum link length: 100 characters.

• Link must start with «http://» or «https://».

2.10. Video Note (Telegram circle)

Telegram allows you to record video notes (circular videos) in bots for later sending to users. Video notes can be viewed outside the chat with the bot, and a series plays automatically in sequential order.

Restriction: maximum size — 2 MB.

2.11. Request Information

In the blue message block, using the «Request Information» element, you can record subscribers' responses into the client card for future use.

2.12. Gallery

A functional block available in Telegram. Allows sending a group of files of the same format as a single message (up to 10 files).

• Audio: audio/mp3 — maximum 2 MB.

• Video: video/mp4 — maximum 20 MB.

• File: application/pdf, application/zip, application/x-zip-compressed — maximum 20 MB.
