The Leeloo.Ai platform has the ability to send e-mail newsletters. In order to fully use this functionality, you need to connect a special service that will help you with the technical implementation of mailings and working with e-mail accounts.
In this instruction we will look at and connect the Sendgrid service.
To get started, you need to go to https://sendgrid.com/ and register.
In the instructions we show a test connection:
Next you need to enter your registration information:
Username (if after clicking on Create Account the username is highlighted in red, you need to change it, since the one you selected is already taken)
Password (must be at least 8 characters long, include both letters and numbers)
Confirming your password
Email address
Don't forget to go through the "I'm not a robot" step and check the Services Privacy Policy checkbox.
After you have entered all the information, click on Create Account.
You will see a page on which you need to enter detailed information about the company:
After you have entered all the necessary information and registered an account, your profile will open, in which you need to find the Settings section and generate data for integration.
In the next step, confirm your email address, then generate an API key.
Email address confirmation
Creating an API key
After you have completed all the necessary actions on Sendgrid, you need to return to Leeloo.Ai, to the “Settings” section (1):
In the "Messengers" subsection, add a new connection (3).
After this, you need to enter information about your integration:
Select the Sendgrid icon
Indicate the name (your choice)
Token (API key that you generated on Sendgrid)
Email address that is verified to be sent to Sendgrid
Any name or email that will be displayed to the client when receiving the letter
Click on "Join"
After you enter and save all the data, a new one will appear in your list of communication channels. Pay attention to the connection status, it should be like the image below:
If your emails end up in the Spam folder:
You need to confirm your domain address and insert the special code that you will be given into the settings of your DNS provider. Then the letters will not end up in the Spam folder and you will not have any difficulties with sending messages. Please contact the email mailer service with a similar request; they usually provide instructions on how this can be implemented.
If you receive a Failed sending message error while sending a message, most likely you need to verify the address from which you will send the email. How to do this is described at the link: https://sendgrid.com/docs/ui/sending-email/sender-verification
You cannot use a new token created on the sandgrid side in an existing connection!
