Getting started with Whatsapp

You will need the following:

1. Facebook Business Manager ID

If you don't have a business on Facebook, create one by clicking here and verify your business on Facebook.

2. Working website for your business

META requires all companies to have an active public website as this will be used to verify the products/services your company sells.

You can use any free website builder and create a basic one-page website that clearly states your display name and the products/services your business offers. You can also host it anywhere with Free Meta Browsing Hosting/Blogs. This is a must to continue. It is advisable to have contact information and address of your organization on the site. This is mandatory to verify your business on Facebook after registration.

What to do if your business is not verified on Facebook?

You can still access WATI and WhatsApp Business API, but with limited access.

If your business is not verified on Facebook, you are subject to some restrictions:

You can send business messages to up to 50 contacts within 24 hours.

You can add up to 2 numbers to WhatsApp Business API.

If a conversation is user-initiated, you can post an unlimited number of replies to those conversations without any restrictions.

How to increase the message limit?

If you want to increase your messaging limit, you must go through the Facebook Business verification process and get your WhatsApp account approved.

The flowchart below explains the process of creating a WhatsApp Business account:

WhatsApp Manager

1. Click on this link, which will direct you to your Facebook Business Suite.

2. Once you're logged into your Facebook Business Suite, click "All Tools" in any top column and select the "Business Settings" option to access your Facebook Business Manager.

3. Once in your Facebook Business Manager, click on “WhatsApp Accounts” in the left column.

4. Here you can see all your WhatsApp accounts. To check your WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID), tap on the WhatsApp account and the WABA ID should appear under the WhatsApp account name.

5. Finally, click on Settings and then WhatsApp Manager. Please check our guide to find out more.

Connecting WATI to Leeloo.ai

To connect you need to fill in the following fields:

1. Bot Phone - the phone number to which Business Whatsapp is linked

2. Sign up phone - the phone number to which the http://wati.io account is linked

3. API endpoint - take it from your http://wati.io account

4. Access token - take it from your http://wati.io account

To receive a valid Endpoint, the account must be paid for using one of the tariffs provided on the service.

The API Endpoint in the screenshot above is provided in a free (trial) http://WATI.IO account, but it is shown in this manual as an example.

Adding Webhook Leeloo.ai в WATI.IO

In order for messages to be collected in Leeloo.ai , go to settings and click Details on the connection:

Next, click Copy Webhook:

Go to Wati.io settings and click on the Webhooks section:

In the URL field, paste the Webhook that you copied from Leeloo.ai , Status - enabled and add all the events as shown in the screenshot below:

Facebook business profile verification

You can start the company verification process in your company settings by going to Security Centre. In Security Center, you can see your company's verification status.

To begin the verification process:

Go to Security Center in Business Manager and click Start Scan.

Enter company information

Enter your company information and click Next.

Choose your business

Select the company you want from the list, or select None of these if you don't see your company in the list.

Verify your business details

From the drop-down menu, select a phone number you have access to and click Next.

Get verification code

Choose to receive a verification code to your business phone number via text message, phone call, or email. The phone number option may not be available in all countries.

Email verification is the fastest way to get verified.

Or verify your domain

If your domain is already verified, click "Use Domain Verification." If not, complete the domain verification process, then return to Security Center and select Continue.

Enter verification code (not applicable if you are using domain verification)

Click "Submit".

If you receive confirmation that your company is verified, you're all set! You will receive a notification when the verification is completed. You can also check your status in Security Center.

After completing your company verification, you can return to Security Center at any time to change your information. However, any changes will require you to go through the business verification process again.
