What is Business Mode in Telegram?

Business Mode is a special mode for bots that connects to private chats in your Telegram account (Premium only).
When a bot with Business Mode enabled is connected, only selected private conversations will appear in the “Chats” section of the http://Leeloo.ai platform.
Business Mode enables full interaction with subscribers through Leeloo.ai:

  1. Add clients to the CRM and update deal statuses

  2. Add or remove tags and update custom fields for segmentation

  3. Issue invoices with follow-up automation

  4. Notify managers about important inquiries

  5. Send emails, SMS, or message series in sales funnels

  6. Start or stop other processes on the Leeloo.ai platform

  7. Connect sales funnels and automated responses via Leeloo.ai

  8. Manage customer conversations via the Leeloo.ai interface (Chats section)

  9. Use smart replies (AI assistant)

If a user first messages your bot and then writes to your personal Telegram account (connected via Business Mode), Leeloo will combine both communication channels into a single client card.
In that card, you can switch between channels and reply either as the bot or personally through your Telegram account.
Leads who write to Telegram Business will automatically be merged into the client card on the platform with subscriber accounts through the bot or another connected Telegram Business account. This ensures a unified client interaction history within a single profile.

Step-by-step Connection Guide:

  1. Create a bot in BotFather (if you don’t have one, іnstruction), or use an existing one.

  2. Activate Telegram Premium.

  3. Enable Business Mode via BotFather.

  4. Add the bot to Telegram Business.

Telegram Premium subscription is required
Business Mode is only available to users with Telegram Premium.

Part 1. How to activate Telegram Premium:

  1. Open Telegram.

  2. Go to Settings.

Part 2. Enable Business Mode via BotFather

  1. Go to BotFather.

  1. Select your bot or type:
    /mybots

  1. Tap your bot’s name => Settings.

Part 3. Add the bot to Telegram Business

  1. Open Telegram (must be using Premium).

  2. Open your bot and type the command /start

Note!

The 24-hour rule applies: if more than 24 hours have passed since the lead’s last activity, you will not be able to initiate a new message from the platform.
