1. Introduction

Definition

Bulk Actions with AI is a specialized operation in the bulk-actions menu of the «Audience» section that lets you manage the state of an AI Assistant for an entire subscriber segment at once — start, stop, or restart the assistant for the whole selected group in a single step. It is a key tool of the Engage stage: instead of toggling the AI Assistant card-by-card, the operator automates conversations with thousands of subscribers in a single action.

The tool operates on top of the «Audience» table and relies on a connected AI Assistant (LLM module, §4.9 PRD) — not to be confused with AI Support (rule-based, §4.8 PRD). A bulk AI action reads the selected segment of subscribers, applies a Start / Stop / Restart command to their link with a specific AI Assistant, and writes the result to each subscriber's Client's Card: assistant status, the bound AI Assistant, the time and date of scheduled execution. The action also overlaps with the Manage stage — the operator manages a portfolio of AI Assistants and keeps their statuses across segments in sync.

The B2B operator (sales manager, marketer, or administrator) is the primary user of bulk AI actions. They filter the base in «Audience», select the desired segment, open the bulk-actions menu, switch to the «AI» tab, choose one of the actions (Start / Stop / Restart), pick a specific AI Assistant, and set the execution time. Hours of manual card-by-card work collapse into a single action — tens or hundreds of thousands of conversations get automated or paused with one click.

The B2C client (subscriber) does not interact with the bulk AI-actions interface directly, but feels the result: after a bulk start the AI Assistant begins replying automatically to their messages in the messenger; after a bulk stop the conversation goes back to a human manager (or stays silent depending on settings); after a restart the dialogue begins from scratch without prior context. Segment accuracy directly affects customer experience.

Client's Card is the central platform entity into which bulk AI actions write the result: current AI Assistant status for the subscriber (on/off), the connected AI Assistant identifier, switching history, and the time and date of the scheduled run. This data is consumed by Chats, Dialogues, and Analytics to route incoming messages and compute assistant KPIs.

After reading this you will understand:

  • what bulk actions with AI are and the role they play in automating conversations;

  • which AI actions are available (Start, Stop, Restart, Change AI Assistant) and what problem each one solves;

  • how bulk AI actions map to the customer lifecycle stages (Engage / Manage);

  • what data each action writes to the subscriber's Client's Card;

  • how to perform a bulk AI action step-by-step in the «Audience» section.

Purpose

The main purpose of bulk actions with AI is large-scale conversation automation via a single AI Assistant on/off switch applied to whole subscriber segments. It turns card-by-card assistant control into a single operation over a segment — the larger the base, the bigger the win compared with toggling each card by hand.

At the Engage stage, bulk AI actions are the main tool for turning automated dialogue on for a segment. The «Start» action plugs the chosen AI Assistant into thousands of subscribers at once: the assistant begins receiving incoming messages, analyzing them, and replying without a manager's involvement. Restart resets the context and starts the dialogue over. The job to be done — automate primary subscriber communication at scale and shift the routine «answer typical questions» away from managers to an LLM.

At the Manage stage, bulk AI actions are a tool for managing an AI Assistant portfolio and keeping their statuses up-to-date. The manager turns off the assistant for segments where it has finished its job, switches a segment to another AI Assistant under a new scenario, and restarts dialogues when instructions or the prompt are updated. The job to be done — maintain an accurate picture of «which AI Assistant works with which segment and in which status» across the whole base.

2. Available AI actions

The bulk AI-actions menu opens from the «Audience» table via the button to the right of the table — after the required segment is selected (with checkboxes or a filter). The «AI» tab exposes the following operations on connected AI Assistants:

2.1. Start

Activates the chosen AI Assistant for the entire subscriber segment. After a bulk start the assistant begins receiving incoming messages, analyzing them, and replying automatically to the selected audience segment. The Client's Card of each subscriber switches AI Assistant status to «on», the connected assistant identifier is stored, and the start timestamp is recorded.

2.2. Stop

Stops the AI Assistant operation for the entire segment. After a bulk stop, the assistant ceases interacting with subscribers in the segment — incoming messages are again routed to the human manager (or left unanswered, depending on settings). The Client's Card records the AI Assistant disable event and the stop timestamp.

2.3. Restart

Resets the current limits and conversation history of the AI Assistant with every subscriber in the segment. Dialogues begin from scratch, as in a new chat — the assistant ignores previous messages and data and starts «from a clean slate». Use it when assistant instructions / prompt have been updated or when the dialogue scenario has changed.

2.4. Change AI Assistant

Re-binds the segment from one AI Assistant to another via the assistant-selection field in the right menu. This swaps the segment onto an assistant with different instructions, model, or specialization without disabling automation — the old assistant is detached and the new one immediately takes over. The Client's Card updates the connected AI Assistant identifier.

AI Assistant (LLM helper, §4.9 PRD) is not the same as AI Support (rule-based module, §4.8 PRD). Bulk actions with AI work only with connected LLM-based assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), not with AI Support rules.

3. How to perform a bulk AI action

To perform a bulk action with an AI Assistant, follow these steps in the «Audience» section:

  1. Click the «Bulk Actions» button.
